The community event exists to bring the magical art of circus to children facing various difficulties that they simply don’t deserve – from disabilities to bereavements. The show tours to Bradford each year, with the 2019 show visiting Peel Park in September. Marc Carr, our Director, has paid for three childrens’ tickets each year and says supporting the show means a lot to the whole team:
“As a family-run business we know how important time out with your children is and that this must be especially true if you’ve been going through a tough time. Circus Starr sends free tickets for its shows to families through a network of hospices, schools, hospitals, regional branches of national charities and support groups. We thought this direct way of working was fantastic.”
Director of Circus Starr, Michelle Crossley, explains:
“A visit to Circus Starr can give a child the rare opportunity to experience the inspiring world of circus in an environment where all of their needs are met.
The atmosphere in our Big Top is warm, friendly and extremely relaxed. Children are encouraged to be themselves – shout out, move around, dance or take time out if they need to. We have seen time and time again the positive impact that a visit to our show can have, and it makes us so proud of what we do.”
It’s the only circus performing one day stands which moves location every other day and hopes to reach as many families as possible. The circus show is on tour until Wednesday 13 November.
